The Dallas Stars will look to run their preseason record to 3-0 tonight when they take to the road to play the Tampa Bay Lightning. Game time is 6:30 p.m. CDT. Tonight’s tilt marks the start of a stretch of four games in five days.
Several Stars players who have been nursing injuries in training camp could be in the lineup tonight in Tampa, including Valeri Nichushkin (groin), Trevor Daley (hip), Colton Sceviour (shoulder) and Brett Ritchie (finger).
After tonight’s game, the Stars play St. Louis in Kansas City tomorrow night. Thereafter, the club returns home to the American Airlines Center for rematches against the Florida Panthers and Tampa Bay on Monday and Tuesday. Head coach Lindy Ruff has indicated to the Dallas media that, due to bunched-up schedule of games over the next five nights, he would have to spread around his lineup regulars and youngsters trying to win spots on the team.
