Oct 3,2014(ISN) – SASKATOON – The Saskatoon Blades have two very special guests coming to town who have been seen by millions of people around the world. The Blades will welcome two stars from the wildly popular reality shows The Bachelor, Bachelorette, and Bachelor in Paradise later this month.

Marcus Grodd and Lacy Faddoul, who ended up engaged at the end of the just-finished Bachelor in Paradise, will be the guests of honour at a dinner at the Park Town Hotel Thursday, October 16, the Blades game the next night at SaskTel Centre, and a party after the game at Fionn MacCool’s downtown.

Grodd, a Dallas sports medicine manager who works with the Stars and Cowboys, made it to the final four with Andi in Bachelorette Season 10. Faddoul, who owns a San Diego nursing home, gained famed in Season 18 Bachelor before Juan Pablo Galavis told her goodbye. They were both heartbroken until they found each other on Bachelor in Paradise.

Marcus, who was born in Canada, has never lost his love for hockey. The two 26-year-olds are excited to come to Saskatoon to watch Blades hockey and share stories behind their wild adventure chasing their dreams and looking for love in the craziest of places.

“This is a fun way to show off Saskatoon to two well-known people and partner with people to raise some money for charity, which we will announce shortly,” says Blades president Steve Hogle. “It’s also a unique way for people to experience Blades hockey, the Park Town Hotel and Fionn MacCool’s.”

A $65 ticket includes a private reception with Marcus and Lacy, a gourmet dinner at the Park Town, question and answer session and photo opportunities with Marcus and Lacy, a ticket to the Blades game where Marcus and Lacy are featured plus the chance to watch the game from a suite with them as well as win a VIP pass to the party after the game at Fionn MacCool’s.

Tickets can be purchased at the Blades Business Office at SaskTel Centre or at the Park Town Hotel beginning Friday, Oct. 3 at 9:00am.
