VANCOUVER – The UBC Thunderbirds women’s golf team finished 10th today at the inaugural Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational, hosted by Seattle University at the Tacoma Country and Golf Club.
The team played two rounds on Monday and concluded with the final round on Tuesday. UBC (308-328-329—965) finished with a score of 101-over par, 102 strokes behind the winning school, the University of Washington.
Calgary’s Reagan Wilson was the top UBC golfer as she posted a three-round total of 20-over 236 (76-82-78). Barbara Neto-Bradley (77-79-84—240), of Porto, Portugal, was four shots behind Wilson in 48th place. Langley’s Winnie Hyun tied for 60th with a score of 30-over 246 (80-81-85), while Stephanie Wong of Richmond was 67th at 34-over 250 (82-86-82). Kat Kennedy of Okotoks, Alta., didn’t officially record a final total after signing an incorrect second-round scorecard.
UBC’s next tournament will be the University of Victoria Vikes Shootout, beginning Oct. 19 at the Cordova Bay Golf Club.
