Royals would like to invite fans to play “Shinny Hockey” Today

(ISN) – Victoria, BC- The Victoria Royals would like to invite fans to join select players and Marty the Marmot at Uptown on Wednesday, October 22nd between 5:00-7:00 p.m. for a game of shinny hockey. The event is being held to raise awareness for the club’s fourth annual Pink in the Rink game in support of the BC Cancer Foundation.

In conjunction with Uptown, 103.1 Jack FM, 98.5 Ocean, CHEK, West Coast Medical Imaging, Mike’s Hard Lemonade and the Times Colonist, the Royals welcome fans to meet players, get autographs and play a little hockey at Level 4 off of Blanshard street. If raining the location will be moved to the P1 pink parking level.
Marty the Marmot will also be on hand at Uptown between 5:00-7:00 p.m. and will be giving away Pink in the Rink merchandise!

Fans in attendance will be treated to complimentary refreshments courtesy of Uptown.

Victoria is now home for a pair of games vs. the Vancouver Giants on Friday October 24th and Saturday October 25th. Friday’s contest marks the unveiling of the Royals third jersey, while Saturday’s game is the annual Pink in the Rink Night at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.
