SWFL moves to 3-0 with 7-0 win

SWFL Baseball (3-0) scored in five different innings to beat Canada PG Gold (0-4) by a score of 7-0 Saturday morning at the Roger Dean Complex. Florida commit Troy Bacon (2015, Tampa, FL) led all players with two hits and three RBI.
Four pitchers combined on the one-hitter for SWFL, including Charleston Southern commit LHP Shane McClanahan (2015, Cape Coral, FL), who struck out five in 3.0 innings. McClanahan displayed sound mechanics while working in the 85-89 mph range. He also flashed a late-breaking curve in the mid-70s. Teammate RHP Jacinto Arredondo (2016, Center Hill, FL) fanned a pair in 1.0 inning. The 5-foot-10, 175-pounder fired strikes at 89-90. He also flashed a good slider in the mid-70s.
Team Rawlings wins over Blue Jays

Team Rawlings defeated the Ontario Blue Jays 5-2 to remain undefeated at 3-0 in the tournament. Tyler Heinrichs (2015, Walton HS, GA), a Tulane commit, led the way for the Team Rawlings’ offense going 2-3 with 1 RBI. Kyle Jacobson (2017, Allatoona HS, GA) used a sound hitting approach and a quick bat to go 1-3 with 1 double and 1 run scored. Georgia Tech commit, Carter Hall (2015, Wesleyan HS, GA), also impressed from the leadoff spot going 2-2 with 2 runs scored, 3 stolen bases and 1 walk.
Georgia Tech commit, Tyler Stephenson (2015, Kennesaw Mountain HS, GA), started and earned the win for Team Rawlings throwing 2 shutout innings allowing just 1 hit and 3 walks, while striking out 3 batters. Stephenson featured an 85-90 mph fastball and mixed in a 76-78 mph slider and a 78-84 mph changeup.
For the Blue Jays, Royce Ando (2015, John Fraser HS, ON) went 2-2 with 1 double, 1 RBI and 2 walks.
Blaze win over Redskins

The DBacks Langley Blaze defeated the Midland Redskins 6-4 to pick up their first win of the tournament. Myles Gordon (2015, St Ignatius of Loyola HS, ON) helped power the Blaze offense showing a short, compact swing and a live bat going 1-3 with a 2-run home run. Robert Hemer (2015, Akron Comm East HS, BC) also impressed going 1-1 with 1 run scored, 1 RBI and 1 walk.
William McAffer (2015, Sentinel Secondary HS, BC) started and earned the win for the Blaze going 4 innings allowing 4 runs, but only 1 earned, on 6 hits and 1 walk, while striking out 7 batters. McAffer featured an 84-88/89 mph fastball and mixed in a 75-78 mph curveball and a 79-83 mph changeup.
For the Redskins, Virginia Tech commit, Gavin Lux (2016, Indian Trail Academy HS, WI), showed good bat speed and extension going 1-3 with a solo home run and Georgia Tech commit, Chase Murray, (2016, Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy HS, OH) went 1-3 with 2 RBI and 1 stolen base.
