Oct. 30 – The Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association’s top runners have earned the opportunity to compete in Calgary, Alberta.

The field is now set for the 2014 CCAA Cross-Country Running National Championships, which will be hosted by SAIT Nov. 7-8.

Twenty-two individual runners, 18 men’s teams and 18 women’s teams will race at Confederation Park, which features a 2-km and 1-km loop.

The men’s race begins at noon (all times local) and will consist of four 2-km laps (8 km). The women’s race is at 1 p.m. and will see one lap on the 1-km loop followed by two laps on the 2-km loop (5 km). At 2 p.m., there will be a 5-km Community Race.

At the conclusion of the races, medals will be awarded to the top individuals and institutions. The CCAA Coach of the Year and All-Canadians will also be honoured.
