(ISN) – VICTORIA- The University of Victoria Vikes men’s rugby team will take on the UBCOB Ravens this weekend on Nov. 1 at 2:45 p.m. in a home game at Wallace Field. The Vikes are currently ranked third with a 2-1 record in the CDI premier league standings, with the Ravens in fifth (1-2).

The Vikes are coming off of a loss this past weekend in Vancouver, 30-19, to their toughest rivals the UBC Thunderbirds in the first leg of the annual Boot series. The Vikes are motivated to go after a redeeming win in this weekend’s upcoming game.

“After the loss to UBC, we’re looking to get back on track, fix our mistakes, and play well this weekend,” said head coach Doug Tate, “this season, all of the teams in the CDI are tight together in the standings. It’ll all come down to who’s ready on the day”.
Vikes and national team player Lucas Hammond will be looking to contribute to the team’s success, along with veteran Doug Fraser and prop Casey Reed who notably has adapted well to having to play in various positions this season.
The game will take place on Nov. 1 at 2:45 p.m. on Wallace Field.
