With the team registration process for the 2015 Volleyball Canada Championships scheduled to begin on November 4, here is some helpful information for team administrators.

VRS Registration Guide
Volleyball Canada and our provincial and territorial partners are currently in the process of implementing a new streamlined registration system, the Volleyball Registration System (VRS). Once it is fully functional, the VRS will have the ability to combine all three levels of programming and registration (club, provincial, and national) into one seamless platform.

As a result, the registration process for the 2015 Volleyball Canada Championships will be different than in previous years. Only the name of the team, age category, gender and the details of one team contact person will be required to register for the event once registration opens in November.

The remainder of the roster, including players and coaching staff, may be added starting January 12th. Each team will need to add its head coach by January 30th, while the rest of the roster will need to be finalized and submitted into the VRS prior to the roster lock date of March 27th.

Volleyball Canada’s goal is to make registration for Calgary 2015 as simple as possible with our new system and staggered registration process.

The VRS User Guide is now available and can be accessed on the registration section of the website ( If you have any additional questions regarding the registration process through the VRS, please contact Graham Loyst by email ( or phone (613-748-5681 x238).

Indoor Volleyball Competition Guide
In anticipation of registration opening, we have released an updated version of the Indoor Volleyball Competition Guide, which is available on the rules and policies section of the Volleyball Canada website ( This document outlines the various rules and regulations that govern events sanctioned by Volleyball Canada. It includes information on team composition, coaching requirements, age categories, seeding, etc.
