Bishop Commits to Warriors

(ISN) – The West Kelowna Warriors are proud to announce that Defenseman Anthony Bishop (98) has committed to the team for the 2015/2016 season.

The 5’10”, 161 lbs d-man from Kelowna BC, currently plays for OHA Prep White at the Okanagan Hockey Academy in Penticton.

Last season, in 67 games at the Midget level last season, Bishop put up 10 goals and 22 assists for 32 points. He has played 3 games as an Affiliate Player for the Warriors this season, and had a beautiful assist on Andrew Johnson’s goal Saturday vs. Salmon Arm.

Rylan Ferster is happy to have this commitment, as he says that “Anthony is a very talented young defenseman. He does so many things well, and we are very excited that he will be in the lineup full time next year.”

As for Anthony, picking West Kelowna just seemed like the right move.

“Being from Kelowna I had always considered the Warriors and after attending camp and seeing how great they treat their players I couldn’t say no. I expect big things from myself next year. I look to be solid defensively and contribute a fair share of offense as well.”

Anthony is the Warriors 1st commitment for the 2015/2016 season. He is expected to play more games as an affiliate player during the course of this season.
