(ISN) – Duncan, BC – The Capitals are pleased to announce Ryan Hogg has been added on as a member of the team’s 22-man roster.
A Duncan native, the rookie forward has dressed in nine games so far this season as an affiliate. Turning 16 next month, Hogg is young in years but has an incredible skill set and will be a big contributor for the Capitals for the long-term.
“Ryan is a young player with tremendous potential,” said Head Coach and General Manager Bob Beatty.
“He is a good skater with good puck skills and a high hockey IQ. Ryan is very coachable and highly motivated with a work ethic and will to succeed consistent with the identity we need to create. We are confident he will be an exceptional player for the Caps for a very long time.”
Hogg is no stranger to hockey fans in the Cowichan Valley having played within the local Minor Hockey Association before spending his first year of midget with the Burnaby Winter Club’s Elite 15 program.
Ryan and the rest of the Capitals begin a three-game Interior division road trip this Friday night in Salmon Arm taking on the Silverbacks.
