Letters of Intent

“Each year it will get better, more organized.”

That’s what we heard time and again as the inaugural Tournament 12 got off the ground in 2013 at the Rogers Centre.

Tryouts were better organized in 2014 with players named to rosters in three stages, the final group after tryouts.

And now for 2015 …

The Ontario Tournament 12 (T12) Try-out Camp will take place at Rogers Centre May 13-15. This camp will help determine the players that will represent both the Ontario and Futures teams at T12 in September, 2015. Each player will receive a T12 Try-out Camp shirt, along with a T12 New Era Cap.

Interested players must first sign up to attend the Ontario T12 Try-out Camp. Players will then be assigned one of the following six slots for their tryout. Slots will be determined on a first come, first serve basis.

1) Wednesday, May 13: 8am-1pm

2) Wednesday, May 13: 2pm-7pm

3) Thursday, May 14: 8am-1pm

4) Thursday, May 14: 2pm-7pm

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Amateur players born in the province of Ontario who are between the ages of 14-19 (as of Sept. 1, 2015) can register to participate in the T12 Try-out Camp.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?
Position players will be evaluated based on; (1) Speed- 40 Yard Sprint, Throwing, Defense, and Hitting. Pitchers will be evaluated by throwing in the bullpen.

Each evaluation session will run approximately five hours.

WHY SHOULD I ATTEND?
The T12 Tryout Camp is your best option to be considered for a roster spot at T12. Although the Blue Jays Baseball Academy has made a conscience effort to attend many showcase events across Ontario, we cannot accurately evaluate all interested players. The Ontario T12 Tryout Camp is your chance to make sure you are evaluated by Toronto Blue Jays and MLB personnel. In addition, the Blue Jays Baseball Academy will be reaching out to other MLB teams along with College Recruiters to come and scout this event.

WHO WILL BE EVALUATING THE PLAYERS?
Players will be evaluated by the Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Academy and the Toronto Blue Jays Scouting Department, in conjunction with the MLB Scouting Bureau. All final roster decisions will be determined by the Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Academy.

SHOULD BANTAM AGE PLAYERS ATTEND?
Yes, T12 is focused on getting the best player, regardless of age.

Younger players attending the T12 Tryout can begin to position themselves for future tournaments. It is a great learning experience for players to be evaluated in this type of environment.

WHAT IS THE COST? WHEN CAN I REGISTER?
Players must register individually for this event. Online registration will be open in early February 2015. The fee for the T12 Ontario

Tryout Camp is $100.00 per participant, plus applicable taxes and service charges.

WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY?
Cancellations received prior to Friday, May 8 at 5pm will qualify for a full refund.

Cancellations received between to Friday, May 9 at 5:01pm and Wednesday, May 13 at 5:00pm will qualify for a 50% refund. After that, no refunds will be issued.
