(ISN) – The Portland Winterhawks and Portland Metro Toyota Dealers are teaming up for Toyota Hockey Family Day on Saturday with players heading out to nine Toyota dealerships that afternoon to meet fans.
From 3 – 4 p.m. that day, Winterhawks players will be visiting Toyota dealership throughout the area to play street hockey, sign autographs and meet fans of all ages. For participating Toyota locations, visit Winterhawks.com/Toyota.
“Toyota Hockey Family Day will be a great opportunity for young hockey players and all Winterhawks fans to meet the team,” said Portland Winterhawks President Doug Piper. “Not only will it be a fun day, but they’ll be able to enter to win our Toyota Tundra, the biggest prize we’ve ever given away.”
Toyota Hockey Family Day is to help find the Toyota Hockey Family of the Year, with the grand prize being the 2014 Toyota Tundra 1794 Edition Pickup Truck the team has been using for community appearances over the last year.
At each location fans will be able to enter the contest and tell the Winterhawks why they are the Toyota Hockey Family of the Year. The organization will select 11 finalists from among all entries, with fans then able to vote on who they think should win. The truck will then be given away to the winning family at the Winterhawks game on New Year’s Eve. Fans can also enter online at Winterhawks.com/Toyota.
