North Island Silvertips beat Ice!

(ISN) – On Sunday morning at the Nanaimo Ice Centre the North Island Silvertips were in action taking on the Kootenay Ice following their 2-2 tie the night before.

In the first period the Kootenay Ice would get on the board first by Krobyn Chabot but the Silvertips would end the period on top 2-1 after a goal by Darian Harris and Brett Stapley.

The Kootenay Ices Kadrian Klimchuk would be the difference maker in the second period as he would score the only two goals in the period to give the Ice the 3-2 lead.

Silvertips would unleash in the final twenty minutes with three unanswered goals, Owen Hardy would get on the board along with Trey Watson, then Brett Kinley would get an empty netter to settle the game 5-3 for the Silvertips.

Following the win Sunday morning the Silvertips jump ahead of the Ice in the BCMML Standing by one point, they are back home next weekend.
