UBC women complete three-peat; men claim sixth at NAIA’s


LAWRENCE, Kan. — The UBC Thunderbirds women’s cross country team won its third straight NAIA championship with a dominant victory at the national meet today at the Rim Rock Farm in Lawrence, Kan.

Senior Maria Bernard won the individual race in 17:03.80. She was one of four T-Birds in the top 10. UBC finished with 43 points, 98 ahead of Lewis-Clark State of Idaho.

The UBC men claimed sixth place with 213 points. Jack Williams placed fourth in a time of 24:53.60.
