For the past six years, Rowing Canada Aviron with support from Sport Canada has been developing irow youth club programs focused on building awareness and increasing grassroots participation among youth in rowing.

With a renewed focus on programming aligned with the various stages of Long-Term Athlete Development, Rowing Canada Aviron is pleased to continue the funding to this grant program for the 2014-15 fiscal year (ending March 31, 2015).

Since the program’s inception, Rowing Canada Aviron has distributed almost $250,000 in funds to over 40 clubs across Canada diligently and creatively working to advance youth rowing. In 2015, Rowing Canada Aviron will provide Irow youth rowing grants up to a maximum of $2500 in directed funding to a number of rowing clubs across Canada to assist in the development of youth rowing in their respective school communities.
