PRINCE GEORGE – Not much has changed in the Timberwolves line-up leaving them with the skill and experience they hope will take them to their first Canada West play-off run.

Leading the way for the Timberwolves is forward Franco Kouagnia. Kouagnia transferred to UNBC last season from England and has been a force for the Timberwolves in the key. Along with fellow fifth year players Devin McMurtry and Jeff Chu, head coach Todd Jordan is confident his senior players will be able to get the job done.

Missing from the Timberwolves line-up this season will be forward duo Charles Barton and Dan Stark who both graduated last year. Stark played four years for the Timberwolves after red-shirting his freshman season while Barton finished his CIS career playing three years for the Timberwolves. UNBC fans will miss the high-flying acrobatics of Barton and the gritty play from Stark.

Adding height and skill to the backcourt are Rhys Elliott and Michael Smith. Elliott, originally from Adelaide, Australia played two years in the States, while Smith, an Ontario native, is a transfer from Branson University. The two come to the Timberwolves with the experience necessary to compete at this level.

After a tough season last year the Timberwolves look forward to making some positive improvements to their play. With the depth and skill necessary to compete with the top teams, UNBC fans will not be disappointed this season.
