A search party has been sent out Friday afternoon for Ohio State walk-on defensive lineman Kosta Karageorge.

Karageorge, 22, is also a former wrestler at Ohio State and was last seen leaving his apartment early Wednesday morning to go for a walk.

Police, family and friends gathered at 1 p.m. ET at a coffee shop in Grandview Heights, a neighborhood outside Columbus, Ohio, to begin the search.

Anyone with information on the location of Karageorge is asked to contact 614-747-1729 or local authorities.

“Our thoughts continue to be with the family of Kosta Karageorge and we pray that he is safe and that he is found soon. He is a young man who joined the football team in August and was a hard worker on the field and pleasant off the field,” said head football coach Urban Meyer. “He has been an important player in practice for us, right up until the time he was reported missing. If anyone knows anything about his whereabouts, please help his family and contact the authorities.”
