Both teams started the game slow out of the gate, looking like championship jitters took place of the pregame bravado both teams had taking the field for warm up. The Grizzlies QB Wyatt Uzick would go head to head against the QB Panthers John Madigan.   The Grizzlies Uzick would be first to solve defensive stalemate that plagued the first quarter with a 4 yard QB draw that caught the Panthers defense by surprise, putting the Grizzlies up 7-0.

Grizzlies Ethan Mastin would put his team in scoring position after a run that saw Mastin break two tackles to explode down field for a large gain.  The Graham Grizzlies RB Von Richardson, taking the spoils of teammate Mastin’s efforts, would carry it 10 yards into the end zone for the major to open the second quarter scoring.

The Panthers, showing signs of heating up late in the second, would enjoy a shorter field with only three minutes remaining. The Panthers helmsman Madigan would string together a series of drives to put the nimble RB Samwel Uko on the five yard line. Unable to defensively solve the Panthers push, the Grizzlies would allow Uko, juking and jiving through a maze of defenders, to finally crack the Panthers goose egg, going into the locker room down 14-7.

The Panther’s, finding some stride to open the second half, would look again to Uko to carry the ball, diving for the end zone marker after a 15-yard scamper to the outside to pull the score to 14-13.

That would be the closest the Grizzlies would allow the Panthers to come. GW Graham’s RB Emilo Pineda would run away from the Panthers defense from midfield scrimmage to record another major in the third quarter.

The Grizzlies Noah Dubosoff would kick a 28-yard field goal to put any chance of Panthers comeback out of reach. GW Graham’s defense was huge in the late stages, stopping a goal line drive by the Panthers, and later coming up with an interception to effectively end the game.
