Calgary Stampeders co-owner, Douglas Mitchell and Okotoks Dawgs Managing Director, John Ircandia, partners with the national law firm of Borden Ladner Gervais, are pleased to announce that members of the Toronto Blue Jays will be in Calgary for a Blue Jays Luncheon to be held at the Fairmont Palliser Hotel on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m.

Attendees from the Blue Jays will include Hall of Fame second baseman and former Blue Jays star, Roberto Alomar; along with current Blue Jays players Marcus Stroman, Aaron Sanchez, Drew Hutchison and Kevin Pillar.

Master of Ceremonies for the event will be Sportsnet broadcaster and the host of Blue Jays telecasts, Jaime Campbell. The event will also feature a live auction with the opportunity to win a trip to the Rogers Centre for Blue Jays action during the 2015 season or to take home Roberto Alomar and other fantastic Blue Jays memorabilia.

Proceeds from the event will go to the Okotoks Dawgs Youth Baseball Academy in support of amateur baseball in Alberta and to assist in the refurbishing of the backstop and dugouts at the Dawgs facilities.

The fifth annual Blue Jays winter tour presented by TD Bank Group featuring players and personnel from the Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Club will also travel to TORONTO, Banff and Vancouver this January. The tour will run from Jan. 16-24 and will be comprised of a variety of community events, media avail abilities, public autograph sessions and some visits to local tourist attractions.

The annual Winter Tour, is a modern version of the Winter Caravans that represented the organization across Canada during the early years of the franchise. Toronto Blue Jays players Jose Bautista, R.A. Dickey, Aaron Loup, Todd Redmond, Dalton Pompey, Russell Martin, Stroman, Sanchez, Hutchison and Pillar along with Hall of Famer Alomar will be making appearances as part of the 2015 events.
