(ISN) – Victoria B.C. – Well known and highly respected – Quest for the Title Kickboxing – kicked off its return last night in front of a sold out crowd in downtown Victoria.
Vancouver Islands premier fighting series was responsible for giving Island fighters the opportunity to fight the best amateur fighters from around the world.
Five years ago top talent from the Island rose to capture 8 Canadian, 3 North American and 3 World Titles. The final event of the series culminated with Gabriel Varga winning the WKN Professional World Title.
Last night saw what the next generation of VARGA BROS. MARTIAL ARTS has to offer fighters and fight fans. The well run event went off without a hitch and featured up and coming Island fighters.
Aaron Varga has taken over the helm of Quest for the Title and will be continuing in the tradition of offering Vancouver Island fighters the chance to develop their ring skills by providing 4 regular events a year.
With the advent of the newly formed B.C. Athletic Commission the Quest for the Title events are able to provide Kickboxing, Boxing and MMA bouts to our B.C. fighters. Quest for the Title is well known for it’s Kickboxing bouts and last night saw the first event to include boxing as well. Due to fighter requests, future events will include Mixed Martial Arts bouts as well.
Undercard bouts entertained the crowd with gutsy performances showing the true heart of our local fighters. The co and main events were both back and forth battles showcasing what years of training achieves.

I would like to congratulate Aaron Varga for putting together such a great event. The matchmaking was excellent.
I would like to thank the fighters for the incredible show they all put on in their back and forth battles. The crowd loved the hard fought fights, most bouts were so close it made me thankful I am not a B.C. Judging Official.
Thank you to everyone for making this such an exciting evening – all the fans told me they cannot wait until Aaron’s next Quest for the Title event.
