Red Deer Rebels make a trade with the Saskatoon Blades

(ISN) – RED DEER, AB – Brent Sutter, General Manager/Head Coach of the Red Deer Rebels Hockey Club, announced today a trade with the Saskatoon Blades.

The Rebels have acquired 18-year old defenceman Nelson Nogier and 18-year old forward Austin Adamson from the Blades in exchange for 17-year old forward Mason McCarty, the Rebels 1st round selection in the 2016 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft, and a 2nd round pick in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft.

Nogier is a Winnipeg Jets 4th round selection in the National Hockey League Draft, and in his third season in the WHL. He has played in 128 games, scoring 2 goals and 16 assists for 18 points and 75 minutes in penalties.

Adamson is in his second season in the WHL, he has scored 5 goals and 5 assists for 10 points and 17 minutes in penalties.
