Prospect men go undefeated against Nanaimo, Gorge FC

VICTORIA – Highlanders FC men’s Prospects squads collected four of a possible six points in their weekend matches as they played against Nanaimo United and Gorge FC on Dec. 13 and 14, respectively.



The Highlanders Division 2 men’s squad played to their second consecutive draw, Saturday Dec. 13 against Nanaimo United FC, playing to a 2-2 scoreline in their 13th match of the VISL season.

Victor Bianco and Brian Im registered goals for Victoria in Saturday’s contest, with Im earning Game MVP honours. Curtis Keen and Louis Harrison notched goals for Nanaimo United.


The U-21’s earned their league-leading eighth win of the season and second consecutive shutout as they defeated Gorge FC 2-0, Dec. 14 at Hampton Park.

League leading scorer Charlie Miller added to his season total, notching both goals for the Highlanders, with Simon Norgrove earning his second clean sheet in a row in net.

The Highlanders Division 2 men have now picked up points in four matches straight and will next see the field Jan. 1 against Sooke Loggers. The U-21’s will next see action on Jan. 17 vs. Peninsula U-21’s.
