Hawks To Host Two Big Promotional Games After Break

(ISN) – The Portland Winterhawks’ players are enjoying the league’s annual holiday break, but when play resumes the team will be hosting two big promotional games.

The Hawks’ first game after the break will be Sunday, December 28 when they host the Spokane Chiefs at 5 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Coliseum for Lift Ticket Night presented by Jack-in-the-Box. The first 5,000 fans in the building that night will receive a free lift ticket to Mt. Hood Skibowl.

Then on Wednesday, December 31, the team will be hosting its annual Toyota New Year’s Eve game at the Moda Center against the Seattle Thunderbirds. The game begins at 8 p.m., and fans can stay after the game to skate on the Moda Center ice with the players.

Fans can either bring their skates, or rent a pair from Winterhawks.com/newyears. Fans who aren’t skaters can still enjoy the festivities with a concourse carnival featuring inflatable games and obstacles courses. It all leads up to a countdown to midnight on the video screen.

Tickets to both games are available at Winterhawks.com, the Rose Quarter box office and the Hawks’ tickets office inside Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

Hawks Holiday Parties of 10 or more people are on sale now in addition to partial game ticket plans. Contact the Winterhawks today at 503-236-HAWK or seats@winterhawks.com to guarantee the best seat locations.
