Phoenix, AZ-The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack have gone two for two in their Arizona Pre-Christmas adventure. The WolfPack men’s basketball team won both of their exhibition games in Phoenix.
On Friday (Dec 19), they downed the Carroll College Fighting Saints of Montana 64-55. The WolfPack raise their overall record to 9-8 (they are 5-4 in non-conference play).
“It was another solid effort against another good team,’ stated WolfPack head coach Scott Clark. “They beat #19 ranked (NAIA) Arizona Christian yesterday (Dec 18) and this was their third loss in 14 starts.”
The WolfPack led by one (32-31) at the half.
Josh Wolfram (fourth year, forward, Kamloops, BC) led the way with 18 points and 12 rebounds.
Brett Rouault (fifth year, guard, Vernon, BC) added 13 points while Reese Pribilsky (four year, guard, Victoria, BC) added 11 poitns and four assists.
“We were down by five points at one point in the second quarter,” Clark explained. “But we showed our composure and had good toughness.”
The WolfPack now break for the holidays and will reconvene in Kamloops on December 29 th. That is one day ahead of their trip to Kirkland, Washington to meet up with Northwest College (NAIA).
Thompson Rivers returns to play in the Canada West on Friday, January 9, 2015 at the Tournament Capital Centre when they entertain the University of British Columbia Okanagan Heat. Tip off is 8 pm.
