Rebels Make Deal With Chiefs

RED DEER, AB – Brent Sutter, General Manager/Head Coach of the Red Deer Rebels Hockey Club, announced a trade with the Spokane Chiefs.

The Rebels have acquired 18-year old defenceman Colton Bobyk and a 4th round selection in the 2016 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft, in exchange for 19-year old defenceman Nick Charif, a 2nd round pick in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft and a conditional 6th round selection in the 2016 WHL Bantam Draft.

Bobyk is in his second full season in the WHL; he played with the Red Deer Optimist Chiefs in 2012-13 and was part of the Telus Cup National Championship team that season.
