(ISN) – Duncan, BC – With a goal, an assist, and First Star honours in his 200th game Sunday afternoon, Capitals Defenceman Skylar Pacheco has been honoured with the BCHL’s Player of the Week award.

In his fourth and final BCHL season, the 20 year-old veteran from Kitimat, BC has been an outstanding contributor for the Capitals at both ends of the ice. With six goals and 20 assists, Pacheco is second in team scoring with 26 points and is well on pace to finish the year with a career best in goals and points.

Acquired from Prince George via trade last off-season, Pacheco has been a leader for the Capitals both on and off the ice logging heavy minutes while acting as a mentor for the team’s younger blue liners.

The Capitals send a big congratulations to Skylar on a job well done.
