Ryan Rehill gave the Blazers an early lead, scoring on a point shot just 1:19 into the game, but Vancouver responded with five unanswered goals. Atwal tucked a puck between the legs of Kamloops goalie Connor Ingram later in the first before Roach chipped his first of the night into the back of the net in the final minute of the opening frame.

Geertsen tallied his fifth of the season on a point shot in the second while Sward buried a rebound off the rush, and Roach bagged his second of the evening with a pretty shot off the right wing that clanged off the post and into the goal. Dawson Davidson and Deven Sideroff pulled the Blazers back to within two goals, but Foster scored just after the midway mark of the third period as Vancouver skated on to their 17th win of the season.
