(ISN) – The Cariboo Cougars will play for the title at the Mac’s AAA Midget Hockey Tournament tomorrow, after a thrilling overtime victory over the Calgary Buffaloes.

The Cats held a pair of 2 goal leads in the third period, but the Buffaloes battled back each time, tying it with just 25 seconds remaining in regulation time to send it into the sudden victory overtime period. Almeida’s goal was his second of the game – both Almeida and Austin Grey had a pair for the Cariboo Cougars, with Darren Hards potting the other Cats goal. Griffen Outhouse was outstanding in his second win of the day, making several spectacular saves in preserving the win for the Cougars.
