(ISN) – Duncan, BC – The Capitals have an additional challenge Friday night with the Nanaimo Clippers in town, and it’s one directed at fans.
It’s the Caps’ turn to host the BCHL’s Five Hole for Food competition, a league-wide initiative to help local food banks. The Capitals are asking all fans to bring non-perishable food items to the game this Friday, January 9th. All items will be donated to the Cowichan Valley Basket Society, helping out at one of the toughest times of the year.
Any paying fan who brings a pair of non-perishable food items to the game will receive an additional ticket for free. Bring your food and a friend and enjoy an exciting night at the Big Stick as the Capitals continue to push towards the playoffs!
All 16 BCHL teams are participating in the annual Five Hole for Food challenge. Donations will be weighed with bragging rights on the line for whichever club is able to bring in the most.
Help support the Cowichan Valley Basket Society, get a great deal, and cheer on the surging Caps!
