Cougars Sign Goaltender Patrick Gora

(ISN) – Prince George, B.C. – The Prince George Cougars have signed 1996-born goaltender Patrick Gora (St. Albert, AB) to a Standard WHL Player Agreement.

Originally drafted by the Regina Pats in the ninth round (179th overall) of the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft, Gora (5’11”, 195 pounds) started this season with the Camrose Kodiaks of the Alberta Junior Hockey League. In 24 games with Camrose, Gora has compiled a record of 19-4-1-0 with a 1.98 save percentage, a .922 save percentage and was tied for the league lead in shutouts with five.

The addition of Gora means that the Cougars roster now sits at 26 players with: 15 forwards, eight defencemen and three goaltenders.

Gora will join the Cougars in time for Friday’s matchup with the Victoria Royals at the Save on Foods Memorial Centre.
