I devour films, much like I do art books. I love experiencing the result of many artists coming together to create a moving canvas. This love is why I went to film school. I don’t put much stock in awards shows, as I understand the marketing of the industry, but I do watch them like a teenager lapping up the latest pulp fiction.

This year I was happily taken by surprise by not only the refreshing takes on many genres, but many of the films of 2014 pushed dying genre’s into new territory. This is my favorite quote, from one of my favorite films this year, ‘Boyhood’. A simply beautiful film about nothing really, but being in the moment and how you deal with the moment. Let the moments wash over you. ‪#‎GoldenGlobes
