(ISN) – Edmonton, AB—Playing without three of their regulars, the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack women’s volleyball team dropped their first league match of the 2015 calendar year.
In their first ever match at MacEwan University in Edmonton, the WolfPack fell 3-1 to the host MacEwan University Griffins. The scores on Saturday (Jan 10) were 25-12,25-22,18-25,25-15.
“We didn’t get off to a good start,” said WolfPack head coach Chad Grimm. ” Our serve and receive wasn’t effective and we gave up some easy points.”

MacEwan was led by Cassidy Kinsella with 14 digs in 24 opportunities. Rebecca Martin had 32 assists.
The two squads play again Sunday (Jan 11) at noon MDT.
