Results from Big White IPC Para-Snowboard Banked Slalom

(ISN) – The final day of World Cup Para-snowboard racing at Big White Ski Resort wrapped up on Monday with the Banked Slalom event. Banked Slalom is similar to Ski Slalom, but is raced on a course that features banked turns and rolling terrain.

With 20 years of experience building Banked Slalom and Snowboardcross tracks, Flynn Seddon and the TELUS Park events staff produced a world class course. Riders from 10 countries raced the clock in what was hailed as one of the funnest IPC World Cup events.

“On behalf of Big White Ski Resort and the BC Snowboard Association we are excited to have the Para-snowboard athletes and coaches from around the world back to compete. We are proud to host the World Cup. We take pride in working with the athletes to build courses that meet their needs and support the development of the sport.” Flynn Seddon, Director of Snowboarding, Big White Ski Resort

“Big White always puts on a great event. They do a really good job supporting our team and building a track that is safe for everyone. At the same time, it’s challenging for the better riders” John Leslie, Team Canada, Paralympian
