In women’s singles, Eugenie Bouchard was just too much for Dutch opponent Kiki Bertens to handle. The 7th-seeded Canadian needed only 23 minutes to take the first set, and 54 minutes total, to defeat the 72nd-ranked Bertens 6-0, 6-3. Bouchard seemed like she was on a different right from the get-go, finishing the match with 20 winners compared to Bertens’ seven.
