(ISN) – Lake Placid, New York – The next stop for aerialists and moguls skiers on the 2015 FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup is Lake Placid, New York.

From January 29-31, Lake Placid will host some of the best freestyle skiers in the world.

The World Cup opens on Thursday, January 29th with the moguls event featuring both the men and women in competition. The Canadian Moguls Team is coming off a successful FIS Freestyle World Championships in Austria where the team earned six medals overall, including two world titles in moguls and dual moguls.

Back defending her 2014 Lake Placid win will be moguls world champion Justine Dufour-Lapointe. Justine will be joined in competition by sisters Maxime and Chloé, as well as Andi Naude, Audrey Robichaud and Christel Hamel.

On the men’s side, the defending Lake Placid champion, Alex Bilodeau, will not be competing due to his retirement. Looking to take his place on the podium will be Mikaël Kingsbury, Philippe Marquis, Marc-Antoine Gagnon, Kerrian Chunlaud, Simon Pouliot-Cavanagh, Luke Ulsifer and Laurent Dumais.

Friday will be dedicated to the aerials individual event and Saturday will be a team competition where teams of three get one jump each and their scores are tallied together.

Representing Canada will be Travis Gerrits, Olivier Rochon, Sabrina Guérin and Melissa Corbo.
