(ISN) – VANCOUVER – BC Rugby is very pleased to announce a new long-term partnership with X-Treme Rugby Wear. X-Treme is now the exclusive apparel supplier of BC Rugby, providing all on and off-field kit for our players, supporters and staff.
“We are very grateful for the support Eddie Evans and X-Treme have provided BC Rugby and numerous other rugby organizations in British Columbia,” said BC Rugby CEO Jim Dixon. “We are proud to extend our partnership. Very soon you will have the opportunity to purchase X-Treme apparel through a dedicated BC Rugby online store, and at the X-Treme showroom in Port Coquitlam. Once again, I thank Eddie Evans and the X-Treme team for their support of rugby in BC.”
“When I see photos of the athletes from BC wearing our jerseys, I feel like I’m a small part of the team; I feel part of a successful program,” said X-Treme Rugby Wear Managing Director Eddie Evans. “We’re very proud to have players wearing X-Treme kit.”
Evans is also the lead designer at X-Treme. He is well known for infusing X-Treme products with his distinctive style, often incorporating elements of native art and tribal tattoo designs.
X-Treme competes with several major international labels, but what distinguishes X-Treme from other brands is the impact they are having within the communities where it does business.
“I feel that people have a responsibility to give back to the community,” said Evans, who was part of BC U23 and U18 programs prior to a successful rugby career with Canada’s men’s National team. “That’s why I want to be involved with BC Rugby and why I have been involved for over 10 years now. The better X-Treme does as company, the more we can put back into rugby development in BC and Canada.”
