New Zealand won their first Cup title of the season by beating England 27-21

(ISN) – New Zealand beat England 27-21 in an enthralling final at the Sevens Wellington, round four of the 2014-15 HSBC Sevens World Series in Wellington. Seventeen-year-old debutant Rieko Ioane shone in the win, Gordon Tietjen’s side’s first of the Series.

The result means the All Blacks Sevens move up to second in the overall World Series standings on 69 points behind South Africa (76), who finished third thanks to a 40-7 win over Scotland, and ahead of Fiji (64), Australia (58) and England (56).

In the other competitions Fiji won the Plate, France beat Argentina in the Bowl and Canada lifted the Shield.
