Kamloops, B.C.- The Tri-City Americans (25-26-0-3, 53 pts) played an afternoon game against the Kamloops Blazers (21-29-3-3, 48 pts) on Monday, with the Americans leaving the Interior Savings Centre with a 3-0 loss in front of 4,220 fans.

Tri-City had some bounces not go their way in the first period. Kamloops jumped out to an early lead less than two minutes into the game, as a shot from Deven Sideroff bounced off the skate of Brandon Carlo and into the net for a 1-0 lead. Midway through the first, Kamloops got on the board again as a shot from Cole Ully bounced off Riley HIllis and into the net for a 2-0 lead after the first period.

In the second, the Blazers outshot the Americans 10-7, but not without Tri-City having some solid scoring chances to try and get a goal. But Connor Ingram held strong for Kamloops as the score remained 2-0 heading into the third period.

Early in the third, Kamloops scored again, as Collin Shirley scored less than three minutes into the period to increase the lead to 3-0. The Americans fought hard to get a goal, peppering Connor Ingram with 15 shots in the period. But Ingram stopped every shot he faced to help the Blazers cruise to the win.

The Americans drop the season series to the Blazers, 3-1, losing both games in Kamloops this season.
