The short track speed skating team followed up its three-medal Saturday with four more on Sunday at a World Cup event in Erzurum, Turkey.

Kim Boutin (in feature photo) won her second medal of the weekend, taking the bronze in the 1000m on Sunday. The previous day she won her first career individual World Cup medal in the 1500m, another third place finish.

Shut out of the podium on Saturday, the men got on the board in the second day of competition with a pair of bronze medals. Charles Hamelin in the 500m and Patrick Duffy in the 1000m made the podium for Team Canada. For Duffy, like Boutin, it was a benchmark weekend with a first individual medal on this stage.

Canada’s third medal of the day in Erzurum came from Kasandra Bradette in the 1000m. The silver was Bradette’s second individual World Cup medal of the season. She had previously skated to third in the 500m at the Shanghai event in December.

All three Canadian women could return to the podium on Sunday in the 3000m relay.
