wounded warriors

Jason Sperling

(ISN) – Langford – The Wounded Warrior of BC runners left Monday from Port Hardy on Vancouver Island and over the next 6 days, the 6 of them will cover 600 km’s to help raise awareness and money for victims of PTSD.

Wounded Warriors Canada is a non-profit organization that helps Canadian Forces members who have been wounded or injured in their service to Canada. They help find therapeutic programs and solutions for military men and women in need. Currently, their primary focus is on mental health and, particularly, the staggering impact of PTSD and Operational Stress Injuries.

The Westshore Rebels appreciate all that these individuals do to keep our country and community safe and free.

In the last leg of their run on Friday February 21 from Six Mile pub to Saunders Subaru at approximately 4:30pm, many Westshore Rebels players will be jogging behind in support of these individuals and their cause.  Help us cheer them on and contribute where you can.
