(ISN) _ Kamloops, BC—Changing leagues has brought with it a change in the way the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack men’s soccer program is looking at recruiting players.

As they enter their second year in CIS, the WolfPack are now instituting two spring evaluation camps. The first comes up this weekend (Feb 21-22) at Hillside Staduim.
Head coach John Antulov will be putting prospects through their paces with technical work on the Saturday and full scrimmages on the Sunday.
“We are hoping to have 40 to 60 players from BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario here,’ said Antulov.
When asked why he is holding a camp in February and then their traditional April evaluation camp, Antulov stated that he wants to get a look at players who haven’t committed to a CIS program yet.
“I hope to bring 35 to 40 players into our main camp in August,” the coach stated when asked how many of the spring prospects will get a chance.
“Many of the players I have been scouting are unable to attend this weekend’s camp because their season is starting but will be here in April,” Antulov says.
Sessions go noon-5 pm on Saturday (Feb 21) and 9-noon on Sunday (Feb 22).
There is still time to register if you haven’t yet. Contact Antulov at jantulov@tru.ca or call him at (250) 852-6292.
