Despite a slow start that had the home team down 21 points in the second quarter, a determined and recharged Camosun women’s squad made a monstrous comeback to clinch tonight’s game over the KPU Eagles 71-59. The Chargers improve to 8-10; Eagles slide to 5-13. First-year post Ali Cooper (Oak Bay) led Camosun with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Cooper is fifth in scoring in the PACWEST averaging 13.71 pts/game and 10th in rebounds with 6.35 per game.

The Chargers men collected a landslide win against the Eagles tonight to advance to 7-11. KPU moves to 2-16. Third-year forwards AJ Beaudry (Winnipeg, MB) and Kevin Transchel (Esquimalt) were the high men for the home team with 11 points and 9 rebounds apiece
