(ISN) – The Kerry Park Islanders will be looking to avoid digging themselves a 0-3 hole when they travel to Victoria to take on the Cougars in their first round best-of-seven series this afternoon.

Game time at the Archie Browning Sports Centre, located at 1151 Esquimalt Road, is 3:30 p.m.

It has been all Victoria thus far.

The Cougars made it two in a row last night following a 4-1 win in Kerry Park. Sam McMullen scored twice for Victoria while Wade Johnson and Devin Mackey each added singles.

Grant Payne, who was making his 19th consecutive start in net for the Cougars, turned aside 19 shots for the win.

In Game 1, Michael Fretz led the way offensively with two goals and two assists in a 10-1 shellacking.

Victoria has outshot the Islanders 110-36 through the first two games.

Game 4 goes Tuesday night at the Kerry Park Recreation Centre.
