Bill Kelly of Nanaimo, BC is named the PGA of British Columbia’s 38th President
(ISN) – RICHMOND, BC- The PGA of British Columbia Board of Directors is proud to announce Bill Kelly, Head Professional at Glacier Greens Golf Course in Comox, BC as the Association’s 38th President.
Serving the last two years as Vice Presidents of Administration and Finance, Kelly, a resident of Nanaimo, was selected by the Board of Directors for the role. He succeeds Fairview Mountain Golf Club’s Executive Professional Brian McDonald, who previously held the position since 2013. McDonald will remain on the PGA of BC Board as Past President.
“I am honoured to be selected as the PGA of BC President. I am very proud of our brand and the 650 members across British Columbia who represents it. The PGA of BC Board of Directors will continue to focus on member benefits, education and engagement” says Kelly. “The Association is strong and carrying a lot of momentum, it is my goal to keep that momentum rolling. In conclusion, I would also like to thank Brian McDonald for a very successful 2 year term as President” he adds.
Also appointed as Association Executives are Chad Scott (Head Professional, The Harvest Golf Club) who will serve as Vice President of Administration and Jon Kadin (Head Professional, Gallagher’s Canyon Golf & Country Club) who was named Vice President of Finance.
The inductions of the PGA of BC Executives were effective the 2015 PGA of BC Annual General Meeting held last week at Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club in Vancouver.
