|Ottawa, Ont. March 3, 2015 – Dressage Canada is honoured to announce Wendy Christoff as the first-ever recipient of the Dressage Canada Volunteer of the Month award for her exhibited qualities of volunteerism that enable the sport of dressage to continually progress.
Christoff has been described as the epitome of volunteerism. She has provided her time and skills freely over many years.
Her generosity to the sport is evident and has helped riders develop and grow to be among the best in Canada. Christoff has also been a member of the Dressage Canada board for over 10 years, and was recently named the Chair of the Coaching Committee. Plus, she sits on dressage criteria and competition committees.
In addition, Christoff generously donates her time and energy to dressage through many clinics and competitions in B.C. The Rising Stars Youth Championship in B.C. has benefited greatly from her enthusiasm as one of the co-managers of this successful competition.
Outside of volunteering, Christoff, a coach and a very successful short listed competitor, was the reserve rider for the Canadian Dressage Team at the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Lexington, Ky.
