(ISN) – Duncan, BC – The Cowichan Capitals handed out annual team awards at a year-end banquet over the weekend.
It was a big night for Forward Sean Harrison who picked up three pieces of hardware. With a team leading 46 points, the 18 year-old won the Leading Scorer award while also winning the B&H Tire Rookie of the Year. With just six penalty minutes to his credit while playing in all 58 regular season games Harrison also earned Most Sportsmanlike Player.

Harrison’s linemate, Darien Craighead, also had a multiple-award winning night going home with The Citizen’s Most Popular Player trophy along with the Duncan Rotary Club’s Academic Achievement award.

Veteran Defenceman Skylar Pacheco was given the Cowichan Collision Top Gun Defenceman award putting up a career best 12 goals and 32 assists. Fellow blue liner Julien Lepage was given the Top Defensive Defenceman award.

Finishing his BCHL career Captaining the team for a second season, Kyle Horsman was named the Most Valuable Player. With 18 goals and 35 points, the 20 year-old was a force every night at both ends of the ice and was a true leader in every sense of the word.
