The seven NAIT players who attended the CCAA Nationals this past week hosted at King’s University in Halifax qualified for the event by finishing first or second at the ACAC conference championships held at Concordia February 21st.
At the CCAA All-Canadian Awards banquet held Wednesday, March 4th prior to the championships, NAIT’s Nick Roque was named CCAA All-Canadian.
“I am extremely proud of all seven NAIT badminton team members that qualified for and attended the Nationals this year,” said NAIT badminton Head Coach Jordan Richey. “Andy’s and Sam’s performance was special to watch as they were the class of the competition. Hellena’s and Kai-Li’s Bronze medal was equally as impressive after they overcame a raucous crowd and won a tight match to come home with a medal”.
