(ISN) – PEORIA, Ariz. – Starting pitcher J.A. Happ allowed one hit in 3.0 scoreless innings to lead the Seattle Mariners to a 10-5 Cactus League victory over the Milwaukee Brewers Friday afternoon in front of 9,694 fans at Peoria Stadium.

With the win the Mariners snapped a three-game losing streak to improve to 5-6 in Cactus League play.

The Mariners jumped out to an early lead with a pair of runs in the 1st inning. Right fielder Seth Smith doubled home Austin Jackson to get the scoring started. Mike Zunino keyed a three-run 3rd inning with a two-run single to left field to extend the lead.

Chris Taylor led the offense going 3-for-3 with a triple and Dustin Ackley went 2-for-3 with a RBI.

Happ (1-1) was solid in his second spring start, allowing just an infield single in his 3.0-inning appearance. The left-hander struck out a pair and did not walk a batter while facing 10 batters (43 pitches, 30 strikes). Relievers Carson Smith (1.0 IP, H, K), Charlie Furbush (1.0 IP, K) and Mike Kickham (1.0 IP, 2 BB, K) added scoreless outings.

Right-hander Taijuan Walker (0-0, 0.00) is scheduled to make his third spring start against Diamondbacks s scheduled to make his second Cactus League start against Diamondbacks right-hander Rubby De La Rosa (0-0, 0.00).
