Kelowna Rockets defeated the Kamloops Blazers 2-1



(ISN) – The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Kamloops Blazers 2-1 on Saturday night at Prospera Place in Kelowna, splitting a weekend home and home with the Blazers.

The Rockets improved to 51-13-4-1 on the season with the win.

Rockets captain Madison Bowey scored his 16th of the season in the second period to snap a 1-1 tie.

Rourke Chartier returned to the Rockets line-up and opened the scoring with his 47th marker of the season.

Jackson Whistle earned the win in net as Kamloops outshot Kelowna 30-26.

The Rockets now have just three games left in the WHL regular season. Kelowna will host the Seattle Thunderbirds on Wednesday at Prospera Place before closing out the season with a home and home against the Vancouver Giants next weekend with the Rockets closing out the season next Saturday at home.
