Raiders set to Honour Players in Year End Awards

Prince Albert Raiders L

(ISN) – Prince Albert, SK— The Raiders will be hosting the Year-End Awards Ceremony following the final game of the season on March 21st. Fans are encouraged to stay in their seats for the on-ice awards presentation as we will be honouring the achievements of this year’s team.

This year, the Raiders are proud to rename the Humanitarian of the Year award after alumnus Travis Laycock. Travis saved the lives of two people who were trapped in a vehicle that was submerged under water this past July.

“It is a privilege to be recognized with such a Player Award honored in my name. Events occur in one’s life that you cannot anticipate. The event that occurred for myself in July 2014 puts life into perspective. I did what I did, not for recognition but because it was instinct and was the only right thing to do. All the best to the player recipient of the inaugural award and to the PA Raider Hockey Club in the 2015/2016 Season,” Travis Laycock.
